Rannoch Station Tearoom, the remotest Tearoom in Scotland, is on the platform at Rannoch Station on the West Highland railway line, one of the world’s great train journeys. Rannoch Moor is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland with its unique fauna and flora, lochs, hills and views to Glencoe and beyond. The area has been featured in the Harry Potter films, Michael Portillo’s Great Railway Journeys and the ONE Show.
The 20 mile drive from Tummel to Rannoch Station sees an extraordinary change in natural surroundings from the beauty and ancient forests of Loch Rannoch to the wildness of Rannoch Moor, one of the last remaining wildernesses in the UK. Many of our customers come for a day out to see the station, for a ride on the trains, for a stroll or a walk on the moor or in the hills. This is a great starting point and meeting point for walkers, cyclists, bikers and drivers who want to experience the natural beauty and wildlife of this unique area.
Rannoch Station Tearoom serves delicious, homemade, freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Every morning we make fresh soup and bake a large selection of cakes and scones. Our drinks include cafetieres of fresh coffee, a wide range of teas, hot chocolate, milkshakes and soft drinks. We are licensed and stock a range of wines, malt whiskies and local beers and cider.
We are open from 1st March until 31st October each year, 6 days a week, from 8.30am (10.00am on Sundays) until 4.30pm.
