Stirling Highland Games is one of central Scotland’s great annual cultural sporting events, welcoming up to 8000 visitors annually. Our transformational event provides a GREAT DAY OUT for visitors whilst also supporting our charity partner as a practical learning experience for young people. Stirling Highland Games can now trace its history back to the Stirling Chapmen of 1818 when the highland games included: ‘Tilting at the Ring’, ‘Foot Races’ and ‘Horse Races’.
Stirling Highland Games not only showcases traditional Highland games competitions like tossing the caber and Highland dancing, it also offers visitors an affordable ‘festival style’ day out with lots to see and do including a Traders Market, on-site Heritage Walking Tour, an Activities Challenge area for the kids, fantastic Food and Drink experience with street food traders, craft beers, whisky & Gin bar and a host of Scottish Food & Drinks producers.
